Introduction & Background

Letshego Financial Services Limited (“LFSZ”) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Micro Provident Botswana Ltd ("MPB"), a listed company on the Botswana Stock Exchange, and was incorporated as a private company limited by shares in Zambia on 9 May 2006.

We are licenced under the Bank of Zambia, and trade as a Non-Bank Financial Institution.

The company is situated in Lusaka, Zambia's capital.

LFSZ will strive to be the best provider of affordable and appropriate financial services in Zambia with the key objective of becoming the preferred financial services provider in Zambia.

We believe in social upliftment by providing affordable personal loans and adhere to international policies for lending. The holding company is IFSC (International Financial Services Centre) accredited ensuring that we provide equitable services throughout Africa.

Products and services

LFSZ provides financial assistance to individuals only, in the form of unsecured loans generally limited to a minimum of ZMK 150,000 and a maximum loan of ZMK 15,000,000 over terms ranging from 3 to 36 months.

Brief description of qualifying criteria, loan amounts etc.

At present LFSZ only deals in loans of direct origination by means of which an employer, Government in this case, provides a salary deduction right to LFSZ. As the business grows and the branch network is rolled out LFSZ will forge relations with the larger corporate and parastal companies as well as mining companies.
