Micro Provident Uganda Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Micro provident Botswana limited, is a retail financial services business offering a range of financial products and services to the retail market.
The Company was registered on 8th June, 2005 and commenced trading on 1st November 2005 under the trade name, “MP Uganda Financial Services

VISION

To become the largest retail financial services business across Uganda, providing financial assistance to all formally employed Ugandans.

STRATEGIC PRODUCT OFFERING
MP Uganda offers retail financial services to employees of both Government and the private sector with our target market being but not limited to those earning between UGX 100,000 and UGX 600,000
Financial assistance will generally be limited to a minimum loan facility of UGX 100,000 and a maximum of UGX 5,000,000 with the facility duration oscillating between 6 and 24 months. The facility availed to our clients depends on ones gross pay and how long one requires to pay back the loan.The installment will not exceed 50% of one’s gross pay inclusive of the PAYE deduction.
Criteria

  • Employee must be employed with one of the approved employers
  • a minimum employment track record with the current employer of 6 months
  • passport size photograph
  • a valid employer personal identification card
  • letter of introduction from employer (where applicable)
  • two or three latest pay slips in there original form
  • latest original bank statement reflecting at least two months salaries
  • Must have an active bank account


Coverage
MP Uganda‘s long term plan is to provide its products allover Uganda, currently our coverage is as below: 

  • Kampala, which is our head office covers the central region (5 Districts)
  • Mbarara a branch office covers the western region (6 Districts)
  • Jinja, a branch office covers the eastern region (7 Districts)
  • Kabarole, a branch office covers the upper part of western Uganda (4 Districts)

For social responsibilities, we are working with the office of the prime minister to see what we can donate to the IDPs (Internally displaced people’s camps)
